
Tyler Vu seeks to capture your wedding day in a truthful and unobstructive photojournalistic style. Atypical is the best way to describe is thoughts in shooting a wedding but he still keeps it in perspective to capture the classic and tradional images that most brides always love and expect. Though skilled in the storytelling approach to weddings, Tyler also loves to create fun, creative, and unforgettable protraits that his clients will enjoy for years to come.
Moved to the Bay Area from New Orleans in 2000, Tyler brought his southern hospitality and love for Jazz music and New Orleans culture with him. Surrounded and influenced by many creative designers and photographers while working at the Mercury News, he discovered his love for wedding and portrait photography. His photo composition and style are shaped by his B.A. studies in Communications, Graphic Arts and Photography at the Univeristy of Loyola in New Orleans (‘93) and his passion for the Cinemas.
Besides photography and watching a lot of movies, Tyler enjoys playing flag football, watching football (N.O. Saints and LSU Tigers fan) and eating orignal New Orleans boiled crawfish. He is very fascinated with the crawfish craze that have just hit the Bay Area. If you really wish to see how to properly eat a crawfish, invite Tyler over for a demonstration. But be e warned: a couple of pounds will not last on his plate.
