If you have the guts, you get the glory... I really do encourage all couples to go all-out when it comes to doing creative things and having fun for better photos. If you do not have any good ideas, don't roll your eyes when your photographer suggests something out of the box. That's what you paid your photographer to do. It does not always come out as planned, but at least you will have some unique photos. Thanks to Kimmy and Chau for being great sports by running into the chilly Baker Beach water multiple times.  The actual trick is to make them make them look like they appear are enjoying the water as if they were in Cancun.

Alea and Zaid gave me the crazy idea of flying to Newport beach for a few hours to shoot their e-session. I equally matched their craziness by agreeing. It turned out to be one of the best times I've ever had doing my job. Alea and Zaid are not only a beautiful couple, but they were such a great sports. Due to time constraint, we had to battle not only the rising tides at Laguna Beach, but also having thrill of out lives racing through traffic to catch the last flight back to San Jose. So exhausted on the plane, I hardly felt my completely soaked socks and shoes. Cheers to Alea and Zaid!

Wow! I can remember the first time I shot a wedding vividly. Far (Sacramento), long (14 hours), free (didn't want the pressure of getting paid) and hot (100+ degrees). However, the smothering heat in Sacramento did not derail my excitement for a potential new career.  Well, it's nearly 100 degrees today and I want to share the excitement of receiving my first award as The 2010 Best of Silicon Valley Wedding Photographer. I really had no idea until someone contacted me after reading the Newspaper.  I'm truly thrilled and honored to be recognized by this award since the Mercury News has one of the strongest circulations in the Bay Area (readership numbers average 200,000 daily).

After several years of hard work, my love for wedding photography grows even stronger. This award not only reinforces my passion for my profession, but also encourages me to do even better and continue to maintain my creative excellence. Thank you to everyone who voted for me.
